| "Radiance" Paula Medina 2013 |
This portrait series focuses on the theme of memories through photographs. The photos are meant to evoke a radiant and exuberant mood, with the use of bright and bold coloring. I was inspired to create a dreamy, high-spirited, and somewhat magical environment through the use of string lights and Polaroid snapshots. When I think of captured photographs, I think of sweet memories to reflect upon. The deeper purpose of this series is to convey a sense of reminiscence and content with our lives and experiences.
This seems like a great artistic photo. I believe you succeeded in showing the viewer your love for Polaroid photos. These photos’ all seem to have a lively mood to them. My only concern about this photo is the photo is taken all in the same place. They all are memories of yours so it is understandable. The camera showed repeatedly makes it a difficult for a viewer to see the glow in your smile. Your attempts at different angles were a success.
ReplyDeleteIt seems as though in one of the pictures you have cropped out your face and showed only your fingers and the camera. I believe this was a good attempt at focusing the viewer on a specific subject matter. There were many things in the background that caught my attention; you might try reducing the amount of distraction in your background in order to keep the viewers’ attention on the model.
